The WPT 2025 season takes place across multiple prestigious venues worldwide. The flagship WPT World Championship will be held at Wynn Las Vegas from December 13-21, 2025, featuring a $10,400 buy-in and a televised final table. Other key stops on the 2025 WPT schedule include WPT500 Mexico City at Frontón CDMX, WPT Choctaw in Oklahoma, WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown in Florida, and WPT Venice in Italy. The complete WPT 2025 calendar is available at worldpokertour.

The cost to enter a WPT tournament varies by event tier. The WPT Main Tour focuses on buy-ins ranging from $3,500 to $25,000, with winners of official Main Tour events earning a prestigious membership to the WPT Champions Club — an exclusive group of poker champions with special benefits and recognition. For players seeking more affordable entry points, WPT Prime events start at $1,100, offering the same world-class tournament experience at a lower price point.

Yes, a woman has won a WPT event. Ema Zajmovic made history in 2017 by becoming the first woman ever to win an open WPT event, claiming victory in the inaugural edition of WPT Playground in Montreal, Canada. She won $146,000 for her historic achievement. Since then, other women have also found success on the WPT, including several deep runs at WPT final tables. Zajmovic’s win remains a milestone moment for women in poker and has inspired more female participation in WPT events worldwide.
