The cost to enter a WPT tournament varies by event tier. The WPT Main Tour focuses on buy-ins ranging from $3,500 to $25,000, with winners of official Main Tour events earning a prestigious membership to the WPT Champions Club — an exclusive group of poker champions with special benefits and recognition. For players seeking more affordable entry points, WPT Prime events start at $1,100, offering the same world-class tournament experience at a lower price point.

In its second year, the WPT Prime Championship at Wynn Las Vegas brought out a stunningly large field of more than 10,000 entries, creating a prize pool of more than $10.1 million — more than double the $5 million guarantee. The $1,100 buy-in event became the largest live WPT-branded tournament field in history. The winner took home $1,386,280, with second place earning approximately $800,000 and third place $500,000. The top finishers also received $10,400 seats to the WPT World Championship.

The World Poker Tour is played at premier casinos and poker rooms across the globe. The flagship WPT World Championship takes place annually at Wynn Las Vegas, featuring the $10,400 main event and the ClubWPT Gold $5,000,000 Invitational Freeroll. Throughout each season, WPT main tour stops are held at venues including the Seminole Hard Rock in Florida, the Venetian in Macau, and casinos across Europe. WPT Prime events offer lower buy-ins at regional casinos, making the tour accessible to more players.
