The WPT is currently producing its 22nd season, with the year-round television show broadcasting to over 150 countries and territories. In the United States, the show airs on Bally’s Sports Regional Networks. Beyond television, the WPT operates a full schedule of live events across the globe, including the WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas (December 13-21, 2025), WPT500 Mexico City, WPT Choctaw, WPT Seminole Hard Rock, and international stops in Europe and Asia.

WPT Prime is a tournament series from the World Poker Tour designed to make the WPT experience more accessible. With buy-ins starting at $1,100, WPT Prime events offer the same professional production, live streaming, and prestige as main tour stops but at a fraction of the cost. The WPT Prime Championship, held annually at Wynn Las Vegas, features a $1 million guaranteed prize pool and awards the winner a $10,400 seat into the WPT World Championship.

In its second year, the WPT Prime Championship attracted a stunning field of more than 10,000 entries, creating a prize pool of more than $10.1 million. The $1,100 buy-in event at Wynn Las Vegas offers $1,380,000 to the winner. The full payout structure includes approximately $850,000 for second place, $550,000 for third, and payouts down to roughly $2,500 for min-cashes. The WPT Prime Championship has become one of the most popular tournaments in the world due to its massive prize pool relative to its low buy-in.

The cost to play WPT events varies by tournament tier. WPT Main Tour events typically have buy-ins of $3,500 to $10,400, with the flagship WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas costing $10,400. WPT Prime events offer lower buy-ins starting at $1,100, making the tour more accessible. Many players qualify through online satellites on WPT Global or ClubWPT Gold for as little as $1. There are also freeroll opportunities, including the ClubWPT Gold $5,000,000 Invitational Freeroll for ClubWPT Gold members.
